FAQs

There are no specific time limits for how long your dog can wear the bark collar. However, it is crucial to regularly check the condition of your dog’s fur and skin under the collar to ensure there are no signs of irritation or discomfort. Additionally, we recomend removing the collar during periods when your dog is likely to be highly active, engaging in play, socialization, or other stimulating activities. This approach helps to ensure the comfort and well-being of your pet while using the bark collar.

Properly fitting the bark collar on your dog is essential and accounts for 80% of the suc- cess in using it effectively. The first step is to adjust the strap of the collar using the corre- sponding mechanism on the strap. The collar should be adjusted to a size where, when fastened around your dog’s neck, you can comfortably slide a few fingers under the collar. This means the collar should be snug enough not to press uncomfortably on your dog’s neck but also not hang too loosely.

If the excess part of the strap is too long after adjustment, you should trim it to leave just enough length to tuck into the adjustment mechanism. Carefully singe the cut end of the strap with a flame to prevent fraying, ensuring the strap remains durable and in good con- dition.

The correct position for the collar on your dog’s neck is with the control unit centered on the throat. This positioning is crucial for the bark collar to function as intended, providing the right balance between comfort for your dog and effectiveness of the bark control mea- sures.

The bark collar is designed with 7 levels of sensitivity, allowing for customization according to each dog’s unique barking volume and throat vibration strength. To adjust the sensitivity level, increase it if the collar does not respond to your dog’s bark, indicating it needs to be more sensitive. Conversely, if the collar is triggered by noises other than your dog’s bark, you should decrease the sensitivity level. This process helps you find the ideal sensitivity setting for your dog.

Additionally, the collar features three training modes to deter barking: sound, vibration, and a combination of sound and vibration. The intensity of these corrections is preset and 100% safe for your dog, ensuring no harm comes to them through their use. These set- tings cannot be altered, ensuring the collar remains a humane and effective training tool.

To address why the bark collar might not be activating or responding to barking, let’s check several key points:

Is the collar turned on? Ensure that the collar is actually switched on. It’s a simple step, but one that’s often overlooked.
Is the collar charged? The collar needs to be fully charged to function. If it’s not responding, it might be due to low battery.
Conduct a functionality test: If the above steps have been checked off, proceed to test the collar’s responsiveness. Set the sensitivity level to 7 and select the mode you intend to test. Gently blow into the hole on the backside of the unit a
few times to simulate barking.
Check the collar’s fit: If the collar seems to be working during the test, review how it’s fitted on your dog. It needs to be snug enough to detect barking but not so tight as to cause discomfort.

The bark collar is waterproof with an IP67 rating, allowing you to confidently use it out- doors in any weather condition. After returning indoors, remember to wipe it down with a clean, soft cloth to keep it in good condition. Also, it’s important to note that after charging the collar, ensure you reseal the protective rubber plug to maintain its waterproof proper- ties. Enjoy your outdoor adventures!

The frequency with which the bark collar needs to be charged, and the duration of its bat- tery life, greatly depend on how intensely the collar is used. Initially, as your dog is getting accustomed to the collar and might bark more frequently, you may find the need to charge the collar daily. However, as the training progresses and your dog starts to bark less, the charging frequency could decrease to once every 10 days. This adjustment period is nor- mal and expected as your dog learns and adapts to the new training tool.
